THE Ben’s 6 STEP PROCESS TO STARTING YOUR PROJECT
It is important to work with experienced professionals, obtain the necessary permits, and carefully plan your renovation project to maximize its value and improve your home’s overall quality and to get a real cost estimate for your project from a Long Island Remodeling Contractor.
Ben’s has an easy 6 step process for successfully getting your renovation started:
1) Meet and Greet
a. Our team will come to your home to discuss the scope of work and the budget range.
b. We will sign you up for Discovery

a. We will come to you and do a 3D scan of your home to create a 3D drawing of your current structure based on the exact dimensions of your home.
b. A 360 tour of the property will be made available to you and to the design/build team at Bens to avoid any further site visits and assist in the design process of your project.
c. A zoning analysis will be performed to determine if there are any zoning implications with your local Town or Village.
d. A site plan will be created using your survey to determine the potential buildable space available to you on your lot.
e.Our seasoned architect will work with Ben’s and you to discuss the size of the extension and determine if there will be additional steps with the Town during the permitting process and/or determine how these additional steps can be avoided through the design of the project.
3) Secure Financing
a. If needed, our financing experts will contact you directly to discuss your financing options based on the rough budget that was discussed. Our financing expert will then re-review all numbers and options again (after Step 5) so that financing figures meet the needs of your finalized Project Cost.
4) Schematic Design
a.Our designers and architects will create a concept with you to create an initial design in 3D so you can see exactly what is going to be potentially built.
5)Develop the Project and Set Cost
a.Ben’s will work hand in hand with you to design every detail of the finishes and mechanicals for your job to fit your dreams.
b.We will meet with you to give you an accurate detailed estimate of the real costs.
6)Construction Drawings
a.Once your budget is set and schematic design is approved, our licensed architects will convert the schematic drawings into a professional set of construction drawings ready to be submitted to the local Town or Village for review and approval.
